John 16:7 (NKJV) 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

Jesus understood the limitations of His earthly ministry.  Crowds formed, long lines, people with needs had to push through crowds, cut holes in roofs, climb up into trees, sneak up on him in the night, pursue him up mountains and across seas and deserts.  It was necessary for our advantage that he depart so that the Holy Spirit could come in fullness.  Jesus is always doing what is to our advantage.  In His earthly ministry, He trusted the Holy Spirit for ministry to the advantage of others.  He healed all manner of sickness and disease under the advantage of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus ministered through the Holy Spirit and He knew in order for His believers to be effective in ministry, it would be necessary for them to have the same Spirit.  This is why He calls His departure their advantage. This is why He breathed upon His disciples and said, “Receive you the Holy Spirit”.  The coming of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost proves the atoning blood sacrafice of Jesus was acceptable and finalized the satisfying of the justices of God.  Everything about the coming of the Holy Spirit is to our advantage as believers.  RECEIVE HIM THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY JESUS SAID, “IT IS TO YOUR ADVANTAGE THAT I GO AWAY”.
