In this article, I want to share about and encourage each one of us concerning the faithfulness of God.

When we speak of God’s faithfulness, we can’t confuse it with the faithfulness of others that we know.

Meer men have the potential to let us down or not come through when we need them. We are not

always faithful when we need to be, but God is always faithful!

Let’s take a look at the word faithfulness. Faithfulness is defined in Webster’s as: 1. Fidelity; loyalty;

firm adherence to allegiance and duty; as the faithfulness of a subject. 2. Truth; veracity; as the

faithfulness of God. I like that word veracity. Veracity is defined as: Habitual observance of truth, or

habitual truth; as a man of veracity. This certainly defines who God is. He not only observes truth, He

is Truth!

I have spoken with many people who, when they are in need, have a difficult time of truly believing that

the Word of God can bring them out. They say He can with their lips, but you can see that their heart

is filled with doubt and question. Many of these questions arise due to what they feel as past

“unanswered prayer.” Each time they are in a hard situation, they struggle with the thought that maybe

God won’t show up. Remember this, God will always show up because He is always a very present

help. That’s right, very present!

If any of you are having these thoughts or if you are going through something right now that seems to

be impossible, I want you to be reminded of this fact, God is faithful! Remember this, God isn’t going to

be faithful. He is faithful! His Word, both written and spoken, is just as faithful today as ever.

It has always amazed me how Christians can put so much trust and confidence in a best friend or a

brother or sister in the Lord, and believe that if at any time they ever have a need, that person will be

right there for them. At the same time, they struggle with the fact that God may not show up if they

call upon Him.

The Word is full of promises concerning the faithfulness of God. In Psalms 119:90, the Word says, “Thy

faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.” The faithfulness of

God is not just to a chosen generation but to all generations.

God is a great Father to His children. He is going to make sure that we are well taken care of. I love

the scripture in Lamentations 3:23 which says, “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed,

because his compassions fail not. 23They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

The Word also says in 1 Thessalonians 5:24, “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” Did

you hear what He said? He said that He would do it. Glory!

When things come your way and the enemy starts telling you that the Word won’t work this time, just

let him know that God’s Word always works and that it can’t fail, because His truth stands superior

over the fact of circumstances. Then hold to the promises that He has promised. Hebrews 10:23 says,

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised).”

Everyone in the body of Christ can receive from God and become what He wants us to be, but we must

do as Sarah did in Hebrews 11:11. Hebrews 11:11 says, “Through faith also Sarah herself received

strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him

faithful who had promised.” If we do what she did, we will receive the promise also.

It is my prayer that you will continue to walk in His divine favor and become all that He wants you to
